‘A Court of Wings and Ruin’ sets Dymocks’ record for fastest selling book this year

US YA author Sarah J Maas’ A Court of Wings and Ruin sold over 1300 units across Dymocks stores on its 2 May release date, making it the chain’s fastest selling book for this year.
A Court of Wings and Ruin is the third book in Maas’ ‘A Court of’ series. The first book in the series, A Court of Mist and Fury, sold 198 copies on its first day. A Dymocks spokesperson told Books+Publishing the sales are ‘a great testament to the passion of YA readers and the appeal among this readership to be the first to own the book’.
The previous fastest selling title this year was Paula Hawkins’ Into the Water, which sold just over 500 copies.
