Authors announced for Canberra Writers Festival

A number of authors have been announced for the second Canberra Writers Festival, which runs from 25-27 August.

Festival guests include Maggie Alderson, Richard Fidler, Julia Baird, Nikki Gemmell, Robyn Williams, Jack Heath and Graeme Simsion.

The festival, which runs under the theme ‘Power, Politics and Passion’, will be the first under former Australia Council CEO Jennifer Bott, who has been appointed artistic director. Vickii Cotter remains as festival director.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, close to 5000 visitors attended the inaugural Canberra Writers Festival in 2016.

The Canberra Writers Festival was developed in partnership with the Melbourne Writers Festival, and has the support of a number of foundation partners, including the ACT government. For more information, click here.
