Full program for IPEd National Editors Conference announced

The full program has been announced for the Institute of Professional Editors’ (IPEd) National Editors Conference, which runs from 13-15 September at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Running under the theme ‘Advancing our Profession’, the conference comprises three streams: building alliances, professional development and technology.

Sessions include how technology is changing the business of editing; contracts between authors and editors; thesis editing; an emerging leaders forum; and a presentation by Sandra Phillips on editing literature with Indigenous cultural content.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, the keynote speakers are professor of applied language studies and IPEd patron Roly Sussex, writer and editor Sophie Cunningham, and cartoonist Sean Leahy.
