PRH to publish new John Green book in October

Penguin Random House is publishing a new YA novel by US author John Green, Turtles All the Way Down, in October.

The book is Green’s first since The Fault in Our Stars was released in 2012. It will be published in hardcover and ebook format by Penguin Random House Children’s in Australia on 10 October in a simultaneous release with the US and the UK.

Turtles All the Way Down is about a 16-year-old girl investigating the disappearance of a fugitive billionaire while dealing with her own mental illness. It also features ‘lifelong friendship, the intimacy of an unexpected reunion, Star Wars fan fiction, and tuatara’, a New Zealand reptile.

In a statement, Green described the story as ‘quite personal’. ‘This is my first attempt to write directly about the kind of mental illness that has affected my life since childhood.’
