Authors announced for NZ Festival

The New Zealand Festival in Wellington has announced the authors appearing at its Writers and Readers stream, which runs from 8-11 March 2018.

Among the international guests are US sci-fi author and pop-culture commentator Charlie Jane Anders; Nigerian-American author, photographer and art historian Teju Cole; British-Canadian sci-fi author and blogger Cory Doctorow; American poet and essayist Patricia Lockwood; Malaysian-born, Singapore-based graphic novelist Sonny Liew; and British philosopher and author A C Grayling.

The line-up also includes a number of New Zealand and Australian authors.

The Writers and Readers stream kicks off with ‘Women Changing the World’, an opening night ‘celebration of women, their words and their power to change’, with Charlie Jane Anders, Patricia Lockwood, Australian author Charlotte Wood, New Zealand Poet Laureate Selina Tusitala Marsh, New Zealand celebrity cook Annabel Langbein, among others. The event will mark 125 years of New Zealand suffrage.
