Arts Tasmania 2018 Artist Investment Program recipients announced

Three writers have received grants in the 2018 round of Arts Tasmania’s Arts Investment Program, which provides funding for artists’ creative projects.

Thirty-five successful applications shared in a total of $354,381, with literature projects receiving $29,795 (8.4%) of the available funds.

Grant recipients in the literature and print media category are:

  • Susan Greenhill ($10,000) to develop her 2016 Richell Prize-winning manuscriptThe Clinking’
  • Leigh Rigozzi ($8795) to develop a graphic memoir
  • Joshua Santospirito ($11,000) to develop his graphic novel Sydney/Purgatorio.

The Arts Investment Program is open to individual artists based in Tasmania looking to undertake projects to ‘further their careers’, ‘enrich artistic practice’ and contribute to the Tasmanian arts sector. It is also open to partnerships, collaborations and unincorporated groups with at least one Tasmanian member.
