PRH UK to offer employees loans for rental deposits

In the UK, Penguin Random House (PRH) will offer employees loans to cover the cost of rental property deposits, reports the Bookseller.

The Home Sweet Loan scheme will allow employees to borrow up to £2500 (A$4300) interest-free, to be paid back monthly over six to 12 months.

The scheme is intended as a way for the publisher to attract and retain individuals from diverse backgrounds.

HR director Val Garside said of the scheme: ‘Supporting our commitment to be a more inclusive employer, we also hope it will help make us more accessible for talented people across the UK who are considering relocating but worried about how they will afford high rental deposit costs.’
