Hardie Grant acquires Rowntree travel title

Hardie Grant has acquired a new illustrated guide on ocean and river cruises by Channel Nine’s Getaway presenter Catriona Rowntree.

The Best of World Cruising will ‘focus on destinations and themes of interest to Australian and New Zealand travellers’, and will be published under Hardie Grant’s travel imprint in early 2019.

Hardie Grant Travel managing director Astrid Browne said the publisher had ‘identified cruising as the fastest growing travel industry in Australia’ and ‘a clear gap in the market for an authoritative and opinionated guide’ on the subject.

Hardie Grant publisher Melissa Kayser described Rowntree as ‘the face of Australian travel’ and ‘an authority when it comes to anything travel related’ due to her extensive television experience. ‘The opportunity to collaborate with Catriona to create a guidebook for the biggest booming travel industry is a challenge I personally relish,’ said Kayser.
