‘The Garret’ podcast expands in 2018

The Garret podcast has announced plans to expand in 2018, which includes a move away from a season-based release schedule and new episodes dedicated to reviewing Australian books.

In 2018, the Garret will release weekly interviews with an Australian writer about the craft of writing, with the aim of publishing more than 50 interviews this year.

In addition, the podcast will release fortnightly episodes with reviews of new Australian fiction and nonfiction. The podcast will continue to release bonus episodes featuring interviews with industry figures.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, the Garret launched in November 2016, and was shortlisted in the Cast Away Australian Podcast Awards in March 2017. It is hosted by Nicolas Brasch and produced by Astrid Edwards, in partnership with the State Library Victoria, Swinburne University, Writers Victoria and the Australian Society of Authors.
