FictionAllen & Unwin has sold German rights to four titles in the ‘Phryne Fisher Murder Mysteries series’, Murder in Montparnasse, Queen of the Flowers, Murder on a Midsummer Night and Murder and Mendelssohn (all Kerry Greenwood); and French rights to To Name Those Lost (Rohan Wilson).

NonfictionBlack Inc. has sold world audio rights to On Borrowed Time (Robert Manne) to Audible; and Russian rights to 2062 (Toby Walsh) to AST Publishing Group.

Children’sBlack Inc. has sold US and French rights to Girlish: An Empowering Journal for the Twenty-first Century Girl (Alana Wulff) to Kensington Books and Hachette Roman, respectively. Hardie Grant Egmont has sold Brazilian rights to Zac Power: Ultimate Mission (H I Larry); Spanish rights to The Witching Hours: The Vampire Knife and The Witching Hours: The Troll Heart (both Jack Henseleit); simplified Chinese paperback rights to The Second Sky (Patrick Guest, illus by Jonathan Bentley); simplified Chinese rights to The Sleeping Beauty (David McAllister, illus by Gabriela Tylesova); and Romanian rights to Tales from a Tall Forest (Shaun Micallef, illus by Jonathan Bentley). Scholastic Australia has sold Danish rights to Dinosaur Rescue: Diplo-Dizzydocus (Kyle Mewburn & Donovan Bixley); Norwegian rights to Tiny Timmy: Makes the Grade (Tim Cahill, illus by Heath McKenzie); Slovakian rights to The Bad Guys Episode 1-3 (Aaron Blabey); Catalan rights to I Need a Hug (Aaron Blabey); and English-language rights in Asia to Tracy Lacy is Completely Coo-Coo Bananas! and Tracy Lacy for Classy Captain! (both Tania Lacy, illus by Danielle McDonald).

NonfictionBlack Inc. has acquired ANZ English-language rights to Papa Goose: One Year, Seven Goslings and the Flight of My Life (Michael Quetting). Hardie Grant has acquired world rights to Silent Invasion (Clive Hamilton, see news).

AudioWavesound has acquired world audio rights to Unbreakable (Jelena Dokic) from Penguin Random House; world audio rights to The Yellow Villa (Amanda Hampson) from Penguin Random House; world audio rights to Fool’s Gold (Fleur McDonald) via the Naher Agency; ANZ audio rights to Before I Let You Go (Kelly Rimmer) from Hachette Australia; and ANZ audio rights to The Jade Lily (Kirsty Manning) via Curtis Brown Australia.
