Waterstones partners with UK podcast

In the UK, bookselling chain Waterstones has announced a year-long partnership with the podcast Mostly Lit to produce a series of in-store events and online content, reports the Bookseller.

The partnership will start on 9 March with the first in a series of four live editions of the podcast held at Waterstones Piccadilly in London.

Mostly Lit will also create online content for the Waterstones website, beginning with a list of 12 ‘must-read’ books, which the three hosts will then discuss on an episode of the podcast.

Mostly Lit is hosted by Rai, AlexReads, and Derek Owusu, and explores ‘the millennial experience’ and ‘the intersection between literature, wellness and pop-culture’.

A representative from the podcast told the Bookseller they see the partnership as ‘a great opportunity to get more people reading and talking about books like we do on our podcast’. ‘Our listeners are always interested in checking out our recommendations and now they’ll be in the perfect place to follow through!’
