In the UK, author Dani Atkins has won the 2018 Goldsboro Books Romantic Novel of the Year award for her novel This Love (S&S).

Facilitated by the Romantic Novelists’ Association, the Romantic Novel of the Year award recognises excellence in the romance novel genre. Atkins received a cheque for £5000 (A$8902) at a presentation on 5 March. This Love also won in the epic romantic novel category, alongside six other category award winners.

Atkins’ This Love (S&S) was a ‘unanimous choice’ among the panel, who called the novel ‘vibrant and captivating’. They also praised the story for being ‘beautifully written, intensely emotive and that the characters lingered long after the book was finished’.

The judging panel included fiction buyer Matt Bates, freelance editor Alex Hammond, writer Elizabeth Buchan and book reviewer Liz Robinson.
