‘The Garret’ podcast announces live series at SLV

The Garret podcast has announced it will deliver a series of live podcasts at the State Library of Victoria (SLV), as part of an expanded partnership with the library.

Called ‘The Garret LIVE at the Library’, the series will comprise six live podcasts. The first event, held on 23 April (World Book Day), will feature author Christos Tsiolkas, who will read from his current work in progress, Damascus, and speak about the politics of writing. The second event, on 25 June, will feature Benjamin Law.

Executive producer Astrid Edwards says that the live events will occur ‘relatively infrequently’, in addition to the podcast’s weekly interviews with Australian writers about the craft of writing.

The live events are free to attend, but bookings are required.
