Antigny and Prendergast join Giramondo

Giramondo Publishing has appointed Léa Antigny to the newly created position of publicity manager.

Antigny previously worked as a publicist at Pan Macmillan and Text Publishing, as well as in key account sales at Penguin. In her new role, she will manage media, communications and events for all titles across Giramondo’s fiction, nonfiction and poetry lists.

Giramondo publisher Ivor Indyk told Books+Publishing the publisher is ‘keen to make the writing of Giramondo’s authors known to a wider range of readers’. ‘We are pleased that Léa, with her skills and experience, will be working with us to achieve this,’ said Indyk.

Antigny will be working with Kate Prendergast, who has joined the publisher on a six-month internship through the Australian Publishing Association’s Publishing Industry Internship Program, and will fill the role of publishing assistant.
