EWF announces inaugural fellowship for emerging writers

The Emerging Writers’ Festival (EWF) has announced it is partnering with State Library Victoria (SLV) to offer a new fellowship for emerging writers.

The Emerging Writers’ Fellowship offers one recipient a $2000 stipend, flights to and from Melbourne, a ‘golden ticket’ to this year’s EWF, a desk for a month at SLV and home-stay accommodation in inner Melbourne for the duration of their stay. The fellow will also attend EWF from 19-29 June, and then spend the month of July working from the state library.

The fellowship is open to all Australian residents over the age of 18, and those living outside Melbourne are ‘strongly encouraged’ to apply.

Applications are open now until 14 May, with the successful recipient being announced on 24 May.

For more information, see the EWF website.
