37ºSouth’s Books at MIFF (BaM): Call for submissions

Australian and NZ publishers and literary agents who hold film rights to local books with cinematic potential to be the next big book-to-screen adaptation are invited to make submissions to participate in this year’s 37ºSouth’s Books at MIFF (BaM) program.

The program will be held Thursday 2 August, 8:45am-2:45pm at the The Forum theatre in Melbourne and includes scheduled meetings and events with Australian/NZ producers and local and international film financing guests.

With many Australian titles including Lion, The Dressmaker and The Family Law being triumphantly transferred to the screen in recent years, Books at MIFF provides opportunities for publishers and literary agents to showcase compelling Australian stories and widen audience reach through the possibilities of book to film adaptation.

Submissions are due by 21 May 2018.

Publishers and agents interested in applying to BaM should complete the submissions form here
