The winners of the Walkley Mid-Year Awards have been announced.

Jane Caro won the Walkley Foundation’s Women’s Leadership in Media Award for the nonfiction book she edited Unbreakable: Women Share Stories of Resilience and Hope (UQP), as well as articles for the Saturday Paper and the ABC.

Journalist Gabriella Coslovich won the Arts Journalism Award for her nonfiction book exploring alleged art fraud, Whiteley on Trial (MUP).

Novelist Delia Falconer won the Walkley-Pascall Award for arts criticism for ‘The opposite of glamour’ (Sydney Review of Books).

Chosen from a list of finalists announced in May, the winners of the Mid-Year Awards were celebrated at an awards night in Sydney on 18 July. See the full list of winners here.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, the Walkley Foundation took over the administration of the Pascall Prize for arts criticism in 2017. The foundation presents the Walkley Mid-Year Awards separately from the Walkley Book Award announced in November.
