Applications for industry internship program now open

Publishers can now apply to host an intern as part of the Publishing Industry Internship Program. Applications are considered for the value of their prepared internship program.

Environmental compliance

Some APA members have reported that they have been contacted by a body called the Australian Packaging Convenant Organisation (APCO) regarding membership or an audit for compliance to National Environmental Protection Measure legislation.

Membership of APCO is not mandatory and an audit is not mandatory. If your company has been contacted by APCO or another organisation claiming similar powers, or if you have any queries, please email sarah.runcie@publishers.asn.au

Educational Publishing Awards Australia

Educational Publishing Awards Australia will be held on 20 September at the Arts Centre in Melbourne. The awards recognise excellence and innovation in educational publishing in Primary, Secondary, TAFE & Vocational and Tertiary Education categories. The event offers colleagues and industry professionals the opportunity to network and celebrate achievements. Each year teachers and booksellers vote for the coveted Publisher of the Year award. There will also be an overall winner for each sector.
