UK Romantic Novel Awards winners announced, inaugural Jackie Collins Award announced

In the UK, the Romantic Novelists’ Association (RNA) has announced the winners of the 2019 Romantic Novel Awards, as well as an inaugural prize in partnership with Simon & Schuster (S&S).

Among the winners of the 2019 awards are Catherine Isaac, who won the popular romantic fiction award for her novel You Me Everything (S&S) and Isabelle Broom, whose novel One Thousand Stars and You (Michael Joseph) received the award for contemporary romantic novel. The 2019 outstanding achievement award, presented to ‘a writer who has made a truly exceptional contribution to the romantic genre’, went to Liz Fielding.

The awards were presented at a ceremony in London on 4 March, where RNA announced the association is partnering with S&S to launch the Jackie Collins Award for Romantic Thriller of the Year, which will be presented from 2020 onwards. S&S has committed to sponsoring the prize for a minimum of five years.
