Parrish nominated in Lambda Literary Awards

Australian Canada-based comics artist Tommi Parrish has been announced as a finalist in the 31st annual Lambda Literary Awards—known as the ‘Lammys’—for their book The Lie and How We Told It (Fantagraphics).

Nominated in the LGBTQ graphic novels category, The Lie and How We Told It follows two formerly close friends as they try to salvage their decaying relationship after a chance encounter.

The Lammys celebrate achievement in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) writing, and are open to books published in the previous calendar year.

Finalists for this year’s Lammys were announced in 24 categories on 7 March by the Lambda Literary Foundation, and winners will be announced on 3 June in New York City.
