Queenscliffe Literary Festival breaks ticket sales record

The Queenscliffe Literary Festival (QLF) has broken its record for ticket sales.

Running from 11-26 May in the Victorian beachside towns of Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale, the festival will feature Helen Garner and Richard Fidler in conversation with Wheeler Centre director Michael Williams on the closing night.

‘Tickets became available last week, and sales have already broken every record in the five-year history of the QLF,’ said program manager Jane Finemore. ‘We think the final weekend event with Helen Garner and Richard Fidler is the first time these two amazing writers have shared a stage.’

Other guests featured in this year’s program include Kerry O’Brien, Maxine McKew, Michael Veitch, Sarah Ferguson, Michael Robotham, Toni Jordan, William McInnes, Heather Morris, Robyn Williams, Rosalie Ham, David Astle, Jamila Rizvi, George Megalogenis and Meshel Laurie. This year’s festival theme is ‘Inside out’.

QLF was established in 2015 by Bookshop at Queenscliff owner Marylou Gilbert and editor Alice Barker.
