Deakin University replaces Scribe as partner for Nonfiction Prize for Young Writers
Express Media has partnered with Deakin University to present the 2019 Nonfiction Prize for Young Writers.
The prize began as a joint venture between Scribe and Express Media in 2013. In a statement, Scribe said ‘many excellent projects have come from our collaboration over the past six years and we’re delighted to have supported the prize’. ‘We’re equally delighted that the prize will continue, and wish Express Media and Deakin all the best with the next phase,’ said Scribe.
The winner of this year’s prize, which is open to longform nonfiction writers under the age of 30, will receive $3000. All shortlisted writers will also receive a craft development masterclass with ‘some of Australia’s best nonfiction writers’, personalised feedback from judges, and a selection of new-release books.
