Children’s bookselling and publishing seminar

The Australian Booksellers Association (ABA) and Australian Publishers Association (APA) are running the Between the Covers, Behind the Counter: Children’s bookselling and publishing seminar with a new program.

This specialist seminar is held after the ABA’s annual conference at Pullman Melbourne on the Park on Tuesday 25 June.

The program includes a keynote from author, editor and publisher Davina Bell, and panel conversations on creating new audiences through bookshop events and programs, children’s books and the media, books in translation and promoting books.

Who should attend?

  • Booksellers with an interest in learning more about this vibrant sector of the book industry and in discovering new ways of growing their children’s book sales.
  • Junior to mid-level publishing professionals including editors, marketers and publicists with a particular interest in children’s publishing.
