Rusher departs MUP for Hachette

Emma Rusher will leave her position as head of sales and marketing at Melbourne University Publishing for a new role as communications director at Hachette Australia.

Hachette’s marketing and publicity departments will report to Rusher in her new role, which she begins on Monday, 29 July.

Rusher was previously publicity manager at Hachette between 2005 and 2007, and she has also worked for Random House, BBC Worldwide, Pan Macmillan, the ABC and her own business.

Rusher said: ‘I’m thrilled to be returning home to Hachette and working with a stellar team of book champions on creating cut-through campaigns that reach readers and grow the Australian business.’
