Quebec City, Melbourne to host City of Literature exchange

Victorian book industry professionals will have the chance to visit Quebec City in April next year as part of a new exchange program between the Melbourne and Quebec Cities of Literature.

The Quebec City exchange is open to anyone working in Victoria’s literary sector. Selected recipients will be given the opportunity to attend the ImagiNation Festival and visit significant Quebec City sites, as well as discuss best practice with other literary professionals, exchange knowledge with local communities, and understand Quebec City’s creative communities and how they interact with each other.

Recipients will receive airfares, accommodation and entry to all events, while recipients who aren’t in full-time employment will also receive a per diem for the trip.

Melbourne will host delegates from Quebec City in 2022. The Melbourne City of Literature previously ran an Edinburgh exchange for literary programmers in 2018.

Applications for the program are open until 28 October. Funding is available to individual Victorian residents working in the literary sector. For more information, visit the Melbourne City of Literature website here.
