SPN announces conference keynotes

The Small Press Network has announced three keynote speakers for its 2019 Independent Publishing Conference, to be held at the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne from 21–23 November.

Claire Squires, director of Scotland’s Stirling Centre for International Publishing and Communication, will deliver a keynote, ‘“Oh, just going round the world, you know”: Mary Poppins’ Publishing Compass’ at the industry research day on 21 November.

Author Toni Jordan will deliver a keynote on the trade publishing day on 22 November, and publishing consultant Malcolm Neil will give a keynote on the changing markets in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia on the fundamentals day on 23 November.

SPN general manager Tim Coronel said: ‘These three keynotes cover a lot of ground between them and demonstrate the breadth of the Independent Publishing Conference. We are confident that this year’s conference program will have something of interest to attendees from all areas of the book industry.’

More conference details will be released over the next fortnight. For more information, visit the SPN website.
