Digital Writers’ Festival 2019 program announced

The program for this year’s Digital Writers’ Festival (DWF), which runs from 29 October to 2 November, has been announced.

More than 90 guests will participate in the online program, which includes live-streamed events, professional development workshops, collaborative projects, commissioned creative work and the DWF podcast.

Program highlights include a live-streamed literary Halloween party; ‘Digital archives & disruption’, a discussion about activist archival projects; Urban Internet Myths, an audio horror series featuring writers across Australia; and ‘crip intimacy & digital detritus’ a mixed-media dialogue exploring disability art and justice.

Festival-long events include the $1000 Microfiction Challenge, and MLTools for Writers—where writers can play with experimental AI writing and creativity tools from Google.
