Scribe acquires book on Hong Kong protest movement

Scribe publisher Henry Rosenbloom has acquired world rights to City on Fire: The fight for Hong Kong by Antony Dapiran, an Australian writer and lawyer who has lived in Hong Kong for the past 20 years.

Rosenbloom said, ‘The fate of Hong Kong hangs in the balance, and what happens to it will affect us all. Antony has unique credentials to write this important book, and City on Fire will provide an essential guide to understanding the current events and their context. It promises to be the definitive book on the subject.’

Dapiran has written for journals and media outlets including the BBC, Guardian, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post and the South China Morning Post.

Scribe will publish City on Fire in early 2020.
