Sponsored by the United Workers Union and Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, the Fair Australia Prize is comprised of 10 smaller prizes for essays, poetry, works of fiction, and cartoons and illustrations, worth a total of $20,000.

The prize asked writers and artists to engage with the topics ‘How does money, time, and power alter our daily lives, limiting some while others rise to the ‘top’?’, ‘In our work, our lives, and our communities, how should things be?’ and ‘How might we change our collective future?’, and to imagine a new political agenda for Australia.

Winners will be announced in late November.
