IPEd: Accessibility and inclusion webinar

The Institute of Professional Editors Limited (IPEd) is running an Accessibility and inclusion webinar presented by Julie Ganner on what editors and authors need to know about changes in the publishing industry.

The webinar will cover what is meant by the terms ‘print disability’, ‘accessibility’ and ‘inclusive design’; alternative formats used by readers with a print disability to access content; the barriers such readers can experience if content is not prepared with their needs in mind; challenges faced by disability support organisations when converting print materials into accessible formats; the work of the Australian Inclusive Publishing Initiative (AIPI) to encourage and support the creation of content that is ‘inclusive by design’; and the role of editors and authors in this process.
