HQ Fiction acquires Fiona Lowe novels in two-book deal

HarperCollins imprint HQ Fiction has acquired ANZ rights to two new novels by Victoria-based author Fiona Lowe in a ‘substantial’ deal.

A Home Like Ours, the first novel in the new contract, is about a small Victorian town pushed to the edge when racial tensions turn neighbour against neighbour.

Lowe has published four novels with HQ Fiction, beginning with her 2017 debut Daughter of Mine. Her forthcoming novel Just an Ordinary Family will be released in March 2020.

Publisher Rachael Donovan said: ‘Fiona’s work continues to draw in new readers through her superbly addictive storytelling. Fiona’s not afraid to ask deep questions about morals, trust, love and who we think we are, in a way that resonates with modern women. She will continue to go from strength to strength as a writer.’

A Home Like Ours will be published in March 2021, with the next novel to follow in 2022.
