Hussein appointed Voiceworks editor

Express Media has appointed Adalya Nash Hussein as editor of Voiceworks journal for a two-year period.

Hussein—a writer, editor and co-editor at Liminal magazine—will replace previous editor Mira Schlosberg. Hussein has been an Emerging Writers’ Festival Melbourne Recital Centre Writer in Residence and a Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellow, and has been shortlisted for the Scribe Nonfiction Prize.

‘I was already looking at ways to bring the interstate editors more into the rhythms of Voiceworks meetings, but the urgency to work supportively and effectively remotely has definitely ramped up given the current world situation,’ said Hussein.

Hussein will take over from Schlosberg in mid April.
