B&N closes 400 shops temporarily

In the US, bookselling chain Barnes & Noble (B&N) has temporarily closed about 400 stores to the public, reports Publishers Weekly.

The chain is working with state and local governments to comply with shelter-in-place orders, however it is continuing to offer curbside pickup for online orders at many shops where the storefronts are now closed to the public.

Publishers Weekly reports that online sales at B&N have been increasing and the chain’s fulfilment centres remain open.
