Vale Ross Burgess

Ross Burgess, owner of Mary Ryan’s Noosa, has died after an illness. Burgess and his wife Susan took over the franchise in 2010, which had been in operation since 2000.

Mary Ryan’s CEO Bill Concannon writes:

‘We at Mary Ryan’s are very saddened at the loss of Ross.

‘We have worked with Ross for over 10 years as the Mary Ryan’s franchisee in Noosa. He did an excellent job in promoting the Mary Ryan’s brand and we will all remember the great author events he took pride in organising at the Sheraton & Berado’s in Noosa.

‘We are all so saddened by his passing.’

The Burgess family writes:

‘Ross’ great passion for language and literature led him to spend the last decade in the bookselling industry after an international executive career.

‘His family would like to thank all of the book and publishing professionals who have shared their knowledge, experience and insights over the years to help create a bookstore that was a favourite for many and above all, a source of great joy for him.’
