Booktopia restructures marketing team

Booktopia has restructured its marketing division following recent changes to the business—including its ASX listing and the acquisition of tertiary retailer the Co-op—as well the growth of its Booktopia Publisher Services and Booktopia Publishing programs.

The company’s current marketing structure will be organised into separate streams: partnerships, trade marketing, campaigns, performance marketing, brand & communication, and creative. Several marketing managers within Booktopia have been promoted to newly created roles as heads of each stream, while the company plans to recruit for the head of creative role.

Booktopia chief marking officer Steffen Daleng said the restructure allows the company to ‘create a stronger foundation to stay relevant to our broadening customer mix and supports the diverse and growing business units within Booktopia Group’.

In May, Booktopia restructured its merchandise teams, with several changes to key personnel.
