SRB announce 2021 Juncture Fellowship recipients

The Sydney Review of Books (SRB) has announced the recipients of the 2021 Juncture Fellowship.

The six recipients are:

  • Patrick Allington
  • Louis Klee
  • May Ngo
  • Luke Patterson
  • Oliver Reeson.

As part of the fellowship program for literary critics each recipient will be paid $9000 over the next twelve months to contribute six review essays to the SRB program ‘that will enrich and expand the public conversation about literature and literary culture’.

The judging panel for this year’s fellowships were Jing Han, Vrasidas Karalis, Wenche Ommundsen and Jeff Sparrow, who brought ‘rigour, experience and commitment’ to the judging process, said SRB, adding that the number and standard of applications for the third year of the fellowship were very high. ‘We thank all applicants for their submissions, and for the energy they bring to the critical scene,’ said the journal.

The fellowship is supported by the Ian Potter Foundation.
