Ingram announces local name change

Ingram has announced that its local operation Lightning Source Australia has been renamed Ingram Content Group Australia.

The company said the name was changed in order to ‘create a more consistent global approach to the Ingram Content Group brand’ and brings the company’s publisher and retail services in Australia under one name. According to Ingram the name change will not be accompanied by any changes to operations or services.

‘Lightning Source Australia has always been an integral part of Ingram, so this name change simply encapsulates and reinforces the global nature of our business,’ said Ingram senior manager of content acquisition and business development Debbie Lee.

The name change follows the opening in January of Ingram’s new Melbourne plant in Dandenong South, which the company said doubled its local print and shipping capabilities.
