ANZ authors on 2022 International Dublin Lit Award longlist

Several books by Australian and New Zealand authors have been longlisted for the 2022 International Dublin Literary Award.

Among the 79 titles in the running for the prize are:

  • Before You Knew My Name (Jacqueline Bublitz, A&U)
  • The Dictionary of Lost Words (Pip Williams, Affirm)
  • The Labyrinth (Amanda Lohrey, Text)
  • Migrations (Charlotte McConaghy, Penguin)
  • Remote Sympathy (Catherine Chidgey, Te Herenga Waka University Press/Europa Editions)
  • Song of the Crocodile (Nardi Simpson, Hachette)
  • Sprigs (Brannavan Gnanalingam, Lawrence & Gibson)
  • The Survivors (Jane Harper, Macmillan).

The award, worth €100,000 (A$158,500), is presented annually for a novel written in English or translated into English. Libraries from 94 cities around the world nominated the books for this year’s longlist. An international panel of judges will select the shortlist and winner, which will be announced on 22 March and 19 May respectively.
