Canberra Writers Festival 2022 dates announced

Canberra Writers Festival (CWF) has announced that the 2022 festival will be staged from 10–14 August, ‘with a welcome return to a full program of live events’.

CWF was cancelled in 2021 having previously been postponed due to Covid outbreaks.

‘After two years of pandemic mayhem, artistic director Jeanne Ryckmans has curated a broad and popular line-up of authors whose work and words will engage, inform, challenge, and inspire you,’ said the festival in a statement.

Under the theme ‘Power Politics Passion’, CWF 2022 will feature more than 60 live events, showcasing international, national and local literary talent. The festival’s ‘signature opening night dinner’ will be held at the National Museum of Australia on Wednesday, 10 August, and the program also includes a special series of events at the National Press Club and 4 National.

‘On the weekend of 13 and 14 August, we will be hosting panel sessions and events at the iconic Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, the award-winning Kambri Cultural Centre (ANU), and the unique National Museum of Australia,’ said the festival.

The full CWF 2022 program will be launched on the evening of Wednesday, 29 June.
