Gardners expands to US

The Little Group, the parent company of the UK’s largest book wholesale and distribution company Gardners, has opened Gardners US, reports Publishers Weekly.
Based in Florida, Gardners US is offering 200,000 titles from British publishers for delivery within three to five days, with plans to expand the number of books over the coming months. The operation has roughly 120 employees.
In 2020, the Little Group expanded its book wholesale business with the asset purchase of Bertram Group, and earlier this year bought Baker & Taylor’s UK division.
Gardners’ move into the US comes after Ingram last month confirmed plans to become a UK wholesaler in September.
