New mentorship program for Tasmanian writers, illustrators

Arts Tasmania and the Australian Society of Authors (ASA) have announced a new mentorship program for writers and illustrators.

The 2022 Tasmanian Writers and Illustrators Mentorship program is designed to link Tasmanian creators to professional development opportunities and national publishing networks. Twenty mentorships are on offer across a range of genres, including fiction, narrative nonfiction, journalism and children’s and YA.

Mentees will each receive 20 hours of one-on-one mentoring over the year, a ticket to the ASA’s Pitch Perfect professional development program, and a $500 honorarium, among other benefits.
