Currency Press, Australia’s performing arts publisher, is seeking a sales representative for three days a week to manage all aspects of selling our books across Australia.

We are looking for an enthusiastic sales person with the ability to discern market trends and to meet sales targets. As our sales rep you will take responsibility for developing and managing relationships with our customers, while analysing feedback and sales data in order to increase sales. The role will require you to work independently, but also to collaborate with our marketing manager.

The position involves personal visits and/or presentations to educational/library suppliers and book retailers, attending conferences, managing mailing lists, targeted emails and phone calls. Currency is a trade publisher but our main sales are in the education market, so sales experience and knowledge of the education market are highly desirable, along with a familiarity with databases and budgeting. Good communication, administrative, numerical and written skills are key. A strong interest in the performing arts and knowledge of Australian theatre would be an advantage.
