The opportunity
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our Secondary sales team. You will sell and promote our print and digital resources to the Secondary education market in a designated territory in Victoria.

Reporting to the Senior Sales Consultant (VIC) this position is based in Melbourne covering Melbourne east to the northeast.

The role

You’ll be focused on:

• Proactively planning, forecasting, and managing pipeline, ensuring that gap and upside plans are in place.
• Manage a value-based sales cycle from qualification of need, through to objection handling, negotiation and closing sales.
• Delivering the best customer service possible, pre and post-sale.
• Maintaining strong product knowledge to become a specialist on relevant products.

Responsibilities:

• Identify all new and untapped markets within a designated territory
• Meet with key decision makers and present our products
• Maintain and grow existing customers
• Keep accurate and up-to-date territory information and submit weekly reports
• Develop leads and marketing strategies through extensive research and cold calling
• Achieve set sales targets and KPIs
• Maintain a CRM system

The successful applicant will have proven selling skills and demonstrate the ability to source new business through superior service.

Attributes:

• Experience in a sales position preferably in publishing, bookselling or educational sector
• Sound understanding of the Secondary markets
• Advanced knowledge in the digital learning space/environment
• Demonstrated ability to drive a digital sales outcome
• Strong business relationship-building skills
• The ability to follow up and close the sale
• Exceptional presentation skills
• Be able to travel regionally and interstate
• Working with Children check and drivers license
