BookPeople 2023 Bookseller of the Year shortlists announced

BookPeople has announced the shortlists for its 2023 Bookseller of the Year awards.
The awards recognise an individual bookseller for their outstanding achievement in the past 12 months, with the young bookseller of the year award rewarding a bookseller 35 or under.
The shortlisted booksellers in each category are:
Bookseller of the year
- Allya Bella, Berkelouw Books (Paddington, NSW)
- Ross Dillon, Dillons Bookshop (Norwood, SA)
- Bronwyn Druce, Red Kangaroo Books (Nparntwe/Alice Springs, NT)
- Molly Murn, Matilda Bookshop (Stirling, SA)
- Mark Rubbo, Readings (Carlton, Vic)
Young Bookseller of the Year
- Emma Chan, The Book Cow (Kingston, ACT)
- Lexie Eatock, Better Read Than Dead (Newtown, NSW)
- Matt Farrell, Burns Bay Bookery (Lane Cove, NSW)
- Emily Westmoreland, Avenue Bookstore (Melbourne, Vic)
Children’s Bookseller of the Year
- Mia Florance, Harry Hartog (Tuggeranong, ACT)
- Fran Hancox, Escape Hatch Books (Kew East, Vic)
- Katherine Matthews, Mary Martin Bookshop (Melbourne. Vic)
- Rachel Robson, Gleebooks (Glebe, NSW).
The winners will be announced at the BookPeople conference on Sunday, 18 June in Adelaide.
