Online and digital key account manager, Melbourne

Penguin Random House is currently seeking a customer focused Key Account Manager to join our Online and Digital sales team. You will be responsible for maximising book sales across a selection of our retail partners with books in print, ebook and audio formats.

Developing and managing relationships with customers, meeting agreed sales budgets and maximising sales through collaborative promotional activity and rigorous inventory management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Increase discoverability, visibility and sales conversion for physical and digital book formats across a range of key accounts.
  • Manage the sales process from presentation of sales materials to processing and tracking of orders
  • Identify market, promotional and pricing opportunities within each account
  • Connect marketing campaigns to promotional activity to drive sales
  • Provide input and feedback on market opportunities, marketing proposals, promotional plans, consumer, and sales trends

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in sales
  • Experience using feedback and data analysis to make informed and strategic decisions
  • Excellent attention to detail and communications skills

In addition, you will be a book loving opportunist and a champion of process and operational improvements with the goal of best sales outcomes.
