QBD Books opens Dubbo store

Bookselling chain QBD Books will open its 87th store in the NSW central west town of Dubbo, at the shopping centre Orana Mall on 12 August.

QBD Books CEO Nick Croydon, who will attend the launch will along with Dubbo Deputy Mayor Richard Ivey and other community leaders, said the new store is an example of the company’s efforts to expand into regional areas. ‘We are very focused on our future across Australia, and we are resolved to continue opening more bookstores, with regional areas a major part of our growth pipeline,’ said Croydon,’ adding that ‘there is the potential for us to open another two stores by the end of the year’.

QBD previously opened a store in Frankston, Victoria in April. ‘Currently we have refurbishments planned for our Werribee store in Victoria, and our Caneland (Mackay) store in Queensland, while we will also be expanding our Rockhampton store,’ said Croydon.

Attendees at the Dubbo store launch will receive grand opening discounts, and local rural romance author Alissa Callen will conduct a sit-down signing.
