Sharjah International Book Fair to present inaugural translation rights awards

Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) has announced two new awards for publishing rights professionals selling translation rights, to be presented during the 2023 SIBF Publishers Conference, which runs from 29 to 31 October.

The SIBF Awards for Rights Professionals of the Year will include a category for professionals selling translation rights for publishing companies and a category for professionals selling translation rights for agencies or independently for multiple clients. The prize for each of the two awards will be US$2500 (A$3830). Rights professionals can self-nominate or be endorsed by their companies. Submissions close on 3 September.
