Sales and marketing administrator, Sydney

Echo is a small publisher in Australia, curating a range of titles that surprise, delight and inform our readers.

Internationally, Echo is part of the family-owned Bonnier Group, allowing us access to the skills, resources and publishing opportunities that underpin much bigger companies than our own.

We are currently seeking a full-time sales and marketing administrator to join our small but mighty team located in the Inner West. We provide an engaging, lively and flexible working environment and would welcome someone who shares our love of books, and importantly, is methodical and well organised.

The key purpose of this role is to support our sales, marketing and publicity efforts with administrative tasks and the coordination of administrative processes.

Tasks will involve:

  • Preparation, maintenance and implementation of the marketing plan and budget
  • Managing the creation of digital assets for social media, authors and promotions for all new titles and general Echo promotions
  • Liaison with external sales team, retailers and media as required
  • Sales and marketing analysis and reporting, to update authors and support new title positioning
  • Updating metadata on UK and Australian websites
  • Support publicity effort: managing event details, invites and RSVPs
  • General office support: post, courier, stationery sundry items.

  • You are proactive, motivated and able to work autonomously
  • You are willing to help and confident asking questions
  • You have initiative and common sense and are a good communicator
