Details announced for Byron Writers Festival, Sydney Rare Book Fair

Two events—the Byron Writers Festival and the Sydney Rare Book Fair—have announced details of forthcoming events.

Sydney Rare Book Fair 2024

The Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers is hosting the Sydney Rare Book Fair on 24–26 October at MacLaurin Hall at the University of Sydney. The event brings together a collection of rare books, maps, and works on paper in ‘a vivid celebration of the history and importance of books, publishing, and collecting’.

Byron Writers Festival 2025

The Byron Writers Festival has announced the dates for its 2025 festival program. Next year’s festival will be held on 8–10 August at the Bangalow Showground, on Bundjalung Country in the Byron Shire hinterland. Artistic director Jessica Alice said: ‘Festivals are vital sites of civic discourse. We are honoured to continue this tradition and present a joyous celebration of books and literary culture in the Northern Rivers.’
