About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a sales assistant to join our dynamic team at Walker Books Australia in Newtown, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive sales and administrative support to our hardworking sales team.

What you’ll be doing

• Processing customer orders and enquiries in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintaining accurate sales records and databases
• Assisting with the preparation of sales reports and presentations
• Coordinating product information and availability with the logistics team
• Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting the sales team with general administrative tasks as required

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in a sales or client-facing administrative role
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in using various software applications, including CRM and sales reporting tools
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
